Our country is grappling with the nationwide issue of gun violence. Despite New Jersey implementing stricter regulations, we remain susceptible to its destructive impacts because firearms do cross state borders, posing a threat to the safety and security of the entire nation. No child or parent should ever fear a school shooting.

As your member of Congress, I am committed to implementing more comprehensive gun control measures, including:

• Strengthening universal background checks.

• Advocating for the implementation of red flag laws.

• Investing in mental health services and early intervention programs for individuals at risk of committing acts of violence.

• Promoting crucial collaboration among federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
