Meet Sarah

I’m a New Jerseyan through and through. I was born here, grew up here, built a small business here, and I plan to raise my family here. I’m proud to call Jersey my home. It gave me everything I have today, and I wouldn’t trade my home for anything.

My dad was a small business owner and graphic designer. My mom was a pre-school teacher. They chose to raise their family in New Jersey because they knew all that it had to offer my brother and me – from its public schools to its communities. My parents taught me that service to others is a duty, not a choice, and that service was the ultimate form of gratitude.

During my college years in DC, I interned in Congress and saw firsthand how government can be an instrument for good.  I also saw the dysfunction in Washington and how the system is broken. I saw politicians do and say anything to cling to power at the expense of working families, putting special interests over the people who elected them to serve. I saw politicians refuse to do anything about the serious problems we are facing, burying their heads in the sand rather than solve problems.

After college, I came back to my home and started a business with my husband. It wasn’t easy, and times got tough, but we never quit. We don't take the easy way out —that’s not the Jersey way. We never back down from a challenge because cowardice isn’t part of who we are.

I’m not a DC insider, and I’m not part of a machine. Being a career politician was never a dream of mine. But I refuse to sit on the sidelines while families across our state are hurting. That’s why I’m running for Congress. Our country is facing serious challenges and new threats. And we cannot rely on the same politicians who created these problems to solve them – they’re part of it. We need a new generation of leaders with new solutions that help working families. I promise to always put Jersey first and fight for our community every day in Congress. I’ll work to lower costs, cut burdensome taxes, combat climate change, address the mental health and opioid crisis, protect our democracy, and create opportunities for all Jersey families to have a shot at the American dream.

New Jersey is more than just a state; it’s who we are. Jersey is the teacher who reaches into her own pocket to buy classroom supplies for her students. Jersey is the union contractor who works double shifts but still finds time to take his kids to the shore in the summer. Jersey are the men and women in uniform who put their lives on the line and crossed the Hudson to answer the call of duty on 9/11. Jersey is people of all backgrounds coming together and having each other's backs after Sandy. Jersey is showing courage in the face of challenges. It’s in our blood.

This election will be one of the most consequential elections of our lifetimes. So much is on the line. It’s a battle to safeguard democracy and uphold the values that make our nation great. We cannot elect the same old leaders expecting different results. It’s time for a new generation of leadership and to bring some good ol’ Jersey values to Washington.

Power in unity.
